I’m Catryn and I’m the owner of this little studio. I currently live in Raleigh, NC but grew up in the mountains of NC (hence that view inspiring my logo). I stayed in Raleigh after graduating from NC State University with a degree in Art and Design, and fell in love with this beautiful city and with a handsome guy who happened to live here.
We currently live right downtown and have made it our mission to try every new restaurant or coffee shop within walking distance.
MORE ABOUT ME
I drink way too many cups of coffee each day but I'm slowly switching over to tea.
I'm relearning French all thanks to Doulingo!
I'm slowly building my antique book and vinyl collections.
My favorite way to work out is by practicing yoga or anything dance/barre related.
I've played guitar since I was 14.
I make up songs about my dog Radley on a daily basis.
I named my dog after Boo Radley from To Kill a Mockingbird. He's too scruffy to be an Atticus.
I could paint all day. Specifically with watercolor.
I've seen most of the US and have also traveled to 5 other countries, but I have plenty more on my bucketlist.
I swear that nothing beats the comforts of a good book and a glass of wine.
The name Sweet Horizon comes from the saying “Something sweet is on the horizon”. I have always been drawn to the idea that no matter where you are in life, something amazing could be just ahead. It’s been a constant reminder to me to stay positive and pursue that horizon always.
Sweet Horizon started as a lifestyle blog in 2014 and became a design studio in 2016 when I decided it was time to take a leap of faith and become my own boss. With a true love for coding my own websites, I set out to give fellow bloggers and creative entrepreneurs a way to establish their brand and never have to worry about the technical side of their website. The paper products come from my own desire to make something tangible in the midst of all this digital work.
